Neymar is preparing to leave Brazil after Qatar World Cup 2022

Who doesn’t know Neymar right? He is the second on Brazil’s all-time top goalscorers’ list with 74 goals, and has earned 119 appearances.

According to his teammate Rodrygo, Neymar is preparing to leave the Brazilian national team at the end of the year and is expected to play his final international tournament in Qatar at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The 30-year-old is preparing to leave the national team after 119 appearances, and has reportedly already chosen a successor for his famous No. 10 shirt that has been worn by the likes of Pele, Ronaldinho and Kaka.

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo revealed the news in an interview with PodPah via ESPN, claiming Neymar is “ready to leave the national team”. And apparently, Rodrygo will inherit Neymar’s squad number.

Neymar made his first Brazil debut at the age of 18 in 2010 and scored his first of 74 goals after just 28 minutes.

Despite enjoying a successful international career, he is yet to win a major trophy while representing his home country, following an injury as Brazil won the 2019 Copa America.
