Two-thirds into the season, the all-stars around the league will gather in Cleveland for an ultimate show-down
With the league regular season roughly two-thirds underway, it is time for the annual event where stars around the league gather this time in the Cleveland Tower City Center for a royal rumble.
Ever since 2018, the league has adopted a new format for the all-stars team selection where the highest voted all-stars of both conferences will be elected as captain. This means that the captain for the Eastern Conference is Brooklyn Net’s Kevin Durant with 5,496,513 votes, sparring against the Western Conference Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James with 6,287,449 votes.
Unfortunately, due to injury concerns, Kevin Durant will only be drafting but not participating in the all-star game. Furthermore, Draymond Green despite being voted will not be participating in the all-star game.
The good news is that the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver has named young stars LaMelo Ball and Dejounte Murray as all-star replacements. This will be both LaMelo Ball and Darius Garland’s first appearance as an all-star.
After an entertaining and equally comedic drafting session, the captains have elected their teams:
