After a gut-wrenching loss to the French following a 4-3 oust in 2018, Argentina comes back with a vengeance and a better team. Argentina relies on Matias Soule and Alejandro Garnacho who has played for Manchester United and fields experience with a veteran presence.

In what is considered the most even bracket in this world cup, Argentina is the team who is most expected to emerge from the group and go deep into the tournament.

Saudi Arabia has a team consisting of almost entirely domestic-based players and fought hard at the 2018 tournament after a 5-0 shellacking in the opener against host Russia. Competing in home territory of Middle East, they are very likely to put on a strong showing.

Mexico vs Poland is likely to be a deciding match in who will go forward, considering that Mexico’s match-up with the other teams seems pretty clear-cut. Mexico has had bad record with Argentina over the years but have time to improve on their roster.

The trouble with Poland is the departure of Paulo Sousa who left for a Brazilian club, leaving them in internal turmoil with interim manager Czesław Michniewicz stepping in. It is hard to say if this will have a significant impact on Poland national’s team chemistry.

On the qualifiers Poland managed to beat only San Marino, Andorra and Albania. All of the teams in this group are groups that Poland has not had a chance to play for a long time.
