On the biggest international stage – Crypto.com will gain further recognition via a stunning sponsor deal
Crypto.com is a cryptocurrency exchange app based in Singapore, which app currently has 10 million users and 3,000 employees. Following last year’s acquisition of the Staples Center arena acquisition and renaming to the Crypto.com Arena in the world of basketball, the company now moves their sights to the world of soccer as well.
A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press that Crypto.com is paying $700 million over 20 years to rename the building. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the parties aren’t publicly announcing the terms of what’s believed to be the richest naming rights deal in sports history.

FIFA 2022 Endorsement
In a Tuesday announcement, the association said Crypto.com’s branding will appear both inside and outside of stadiums for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 scheduled to begin in November. The crypto exchange will provide opportunities for its users to attend matches and win official merchandise as part of the sponsorship.
FIFA chief commercial officer Kay Madati informs that the deal will help grow the games “on a global scale,” this is further supported by evidences such as Crypto’s affiliation with the basketball world has stated above. Crypto.com has also partnered with Australian Football Leaguee in a $25 million deal, signed a $100-million sponsorship agreement with Formula 1 and completed a 10-year $175 million sponsorship agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. It is making its strides in all sports categories
The decision was made despite cryptocurrency trading being largely illegal since the country’s issuing a central bank ban in 2018.
Crypto.com is not the only ones in the soccer world to make deals, since Lionel Messi has also signed an agreement worth more than $20 million to promote digital fan token company Socios.com. This was informed by a source close to the deal to Reuters.
